The products have been supplied through wholesalers for installation by licensed electricians. They are widely used in residential and commercial solar energy installations.

HAZARD: Risk of Fire
The products could present a risk of fire or electrocution under certain conditions.

Property owners:
Should immediately turn off their Solar/Photovoltaic system by using the "AC ISOLATOR" switch and turning it to "off" – WARNING: don't operate the isolators marked "PV ARRAY DC ISOLATOR". Contact the IPD Customer Service Centre 1300 55 66 01 or visit to provide your contact details and details of the electrical contractor that performed your original installation, and to register for installation of a replacement once available.

Cease supplying switches and arrange returns by contacting IPD (see below).

Defective DC isolating switches used in solar installations, commonly referred to in industry as IPV40E & IPV40ES, are required to be replaced. PV systems with these switches need to be shut down pending replacement IPD. See required action for property owners, above. Please encourage notification or email with a list for IPD to contact.
